Gaining in energy efficiency
Cap Ingelec's engineers are trained in High Environmental Quality (HQE), capable of acting on any mission : audit, design & production, rehabilitation of building assets, "zero energy expenditure" construction of public buildings, B to B zones, (offices, datacenters, warehouses) etc… Their pragmatic approach to the domain of High Environmental Quality (HQE) is shown by multicriteria analysis including energy performance and renewable energies, and is evidenced by the recommendation of effective solutions which are tangible and lasting. Cap Ingelec was part of the Ersol Architects team which won the project management competition for the new "positive energy" high school of 18 000 m² net surface area.
Energy optimization for construction and rehabilitation
In order to consume less, it is necessary to bring made-to-measure solutions applied specifically to each project, whether it is a construction or a rehabilitation.
This is seen concretely by recommendations regarding the orientation of the building or of free cooling, techniques of superventilation of fresh air on summer nights to lower the building temperature and limit the use of air conditioning during the day. However, this cannot be achieved without the initial water and airproofing optimization of the building.
From various automatized management systems, such as the implementation of automatic lighting with movement detectors, to sunshine control with automatic blind lowering, from fine air current management in offices via human presence detection, etc… These performances are possible thanks to our strong experience in the domain of automatisms and industrial information technology. The recuperation of reliable and ample data allows, thanks to a supervision tool to quantify, pilot and optimize energy consumption.
Cap Ingelec carries out energy performance diagnostic tests, notably around real estate assets in different sectors of activity : airlines, pharmaceutical laboratories, social habitats, etc… A recent intervention enabled the reduction of greenhouse gases by 60% in a housing estate following rehabilitation work. This limited investment will save the inhabitants the equivalent of one month's rent in terms of the reduction of sanitary hot water and heating consumption. A complete audit done by Cap Ingelec included an energy consumption diagnostic test compared to a theoretical consumption, investment scenarios reported against probable gains in consumption, and a project of improvement on the building and the equipment thanks to their "intelligent" management.
Datacenters : A European label for energy performance
Cap Ingelec engineers developed innovative solutions to considerably improve the PUE* of large computer centers (on average, a datacenter uses from 2-3 times more energy than it really needs). This is based on techniques of production and recuperation of energy, procedures of cooling and calculations of the optimization of air treatment and circulation.
(*) : Power Usage Effectiveness : ratio between the energy consumed by the datacenter and the energy actually used by the computer equipment.
