Operating a hospital on the move
Cap Ingelec has the capacity to intervene in an occupied environment and has just demonstrated this once again. The complete replacement of the electrical infrastructure of the Rangueil hospital of the Toulouse University Hospital was completed after 24 months of work.
While a university hospital cannot stop producing care, this operation involved the complete replacement of its electrical infrastructure. The objective was to increase the site’s emergency power, strengthen the level of service continuity
The objective was to increase the site’s emergency power, to strengthen the level of service continuity by installing scalable and maintainable equipment without interruption, with fully redundant systems. Continuity of operation during construction is a major complexity factor that has a strong impact in terms of project management.
“This operation was carried out in a climate of trust, with an enthusiastic approach. We knew that we were going to face difficulties and we worked in synergy”. Djamil Abdelaziz, Maintenance-Security-Quality-Engineering Manager of the Toulouse University Hospital’s property-immobility-technical services division.
