HENNESSY
THE FUTURE PROJECTS of a historical client
In Cognac, more than anywhere else, we know the value of time. Thus, the long-lasting collaboration between Cap Ingelec and Hennessy should be seen as the result of renewed mutual trust.
By delving into the company’s archives, we find the origin of a first order from Hennessy in 1998. At the time, the service concerned an innovative solution in terms of automation, unique in France, to control the remote input/output of the reception and transfer of their eaux-de-vie. In 2008, Le Chaînon Manquant mentioned a fortieth order from the famous brand of the LVMH group. “Today, we must count more than a hundred projects together,” explains Sébastien Fortin, Cap Ingelec’s Major Projects Manager. How can this longevity be explained? “We have acquired an expertise and experience of their process which allows us to bring added value to the various missions entrusted to us.” The growth of Hennessy, which doubled its production between 2011 and 2020 and modernised its existing infrastructure, explains this improvement. It is reflected in the forthcoming delivery of numerous projects, not to mention those already in place.
Cap Ingelec works with Hennessy for each of its production stages, both on existing sites and for the creation of new infrastructures. Its services now, as in the past, cover process management, from their design to their implementation follow-up. “Before being put into service, a new bottling line must be qualified by the Hennessy tasting committee to ensure that the product retains all its organoleptic qualities. We do everything possible with the production and maintenance teams to ensure that these tests are positive, which requires control and verification from the beginning to the end of the chain,” explains Sébastien Fortin.

works.

Cap Ingelec is also solicited for TCE project management missions within the framework of the construction of buildings for the storage of eaux-de-vie. “We also assist Hennessy in the sizing of their structures for maximum optimisation, taking into account multiple parameters: ventilation, construction concept, paving, insulation, fire and intrusion safety, etc. The aim is to achieve the best possible storage cost per barrel while guaranteeing the slow process of transforming eau de vie into amber nectar.” So many projects have to be completed within tight deadlines, with maximum safety and in an environment of high environmental quality.
“Know-how is not enough to work with Hennessy and, more generally, with luxury houses. We also pay particular attention to the know-how of the teams involved. All of the Hennessy players have a strong attachment to their brand, their region and their profession. Cap Ingelec understands, adheres to and shares these values, which explains the quality and intensity of our working relationship.”
