Cap Ingelec and rugby have a long history of friendship, sport and solidarity!
For many years, we have shared the same values as those that animate the Union Bordeaux Bègles club: team spirit, commitment and respect. We continue our commitment to the club and are proud to be able to follow them every weekend on television!
A sport of passion par excellence, rugby is both generous and demanding. We can honestly say that the business world has everything to gain by exploring the simple principles of rugby based on the strongest human qualities. Team spirit and the ability to work together are essential at Cap Ingelec. Whether it’s lifting trophies or developing a business, we believe in the power of the collective.
UBB SEVEN PARTNER
The UBB S7vens is born in 2022! The Union Bordeaux-Bègles becomes the first professional club to have a rugby 7s team bearing its name. Initiated by Laurent Ferrères, head of the 7’s pole and coach at the training centre, supported by Jean-Paul Calès, President of Cap Ingelec, a partner from the start, and Marc Prikaszky of the Ceva group, the project was presented last Saturday at Chaban-Delmas in front of representatives of numerous clubs in the Gironde. The objective? To build a 7-a-side team made up of players from clubs in and around the Gironde, with the aim of eventually joining the French Elite Championship and taking part in international tournaments. We are proud to support this great 7-a-side rugby team!
We are happy to give some of our company’s success to the UBB. Today, we want to be able to make this club shine in the world of 7-a-side rugby
This sponsorship in the world of sailing is first and foremost a decisive meeting with a gifted young skipper who is passionate about her sport – Camille Bertel. A young sailor, she has already made a name for herself and participated in the Mini Transat 6.5 starting from Les Sables d’Olonnes, bound for Saint-François in Guadeloupe. Camille spoke to me with enthusiasm about her race, her desire for challenges, her project to sail on a new boat with a view to the start of the Solitaire du Figaro in 2024. At just 25 years old, she already knows exactly where she wants to go and how to put all the chances on her side. If Camille lacks neither ambition nor audacity, she also has her feet firmly planted on the ground and prepares each of her races in great detail, giving importance to each challenge. Perseverance, fighting spirit and surpassing oneself… so many values that the Cap Ingelec group shares with this young sailor. We are very proud to be able to affix the Cap Ingelec logo on the hull of her boat for the next 2 years. We hope to take you on board with us to support Camille’s dreams of victory… and to let you follow her races as if you were there!
Jean-Paul Calès – President and Founder of Cap Ingelec
A SOLID, LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP
Cap Ingelec is taking a step forward and reinforcing its commitment to competitive sailing.
The engineering company is embarking with Camille Bertel for three years as the official partner of the two flagship races: the double-handed transatlantic race in 2023 and the Solitaire du Figaro in 2024. Cap Ingelec has already supported this young skipper in 2021 on the Mini Transat 6,5 starting from Les Sables d’Olonnes, bound for Saint-François in Guadeloupe. We had followed her in this beautiful adventure and we wish today to continue our collaboration on the long term!
This new sponsorship is a response to our common desire to explore new horizons and to succeed in the challenges we set ourselves. It is much more than a simple sports sponsorship, we wish to write a new page of a long term adventure, made of commitment, passion and loyalty.
Camille Bertel, a woman, a boat and the ocean!
More than a project, it is an adventure whose foundations are already solid!
It is in Brittany, more precisely on the Pink Granite Coast that I discovered sailing in 2006. Always wanting to go faster and push my limits, the competition was obvious to me. I made my first steps in regatta at the 24 Hours of Sailing, in 420. Then I joined the Pôle Espoir in Brest in 2012, with the ultimate ambition of ocean racing. My ultimate ambition? To race on the Imoca circuit and compete in the Vendée Globe.
In 2018, after training in composite materials, I joined the Lalou Multi team. My desire was to get involved in a Mini Transat project on the Arkema Mini 6.50, whose complexity was a challenge to be met. And that’s how I was able to take the start of the Mini Transat 2021.
More than a revelation, this adventure reinforced my desire to make ocean racing my profession. With the Vendée Globe 2028 in my sights, I want to
I want to do everything I can to race it as strongly as possible, which is why I joined the Figaro class. Its rigor, its level of requirement, its technicality and the fact of sailing with the greatest skippers would be for me the best way to get there.
“Sailing is a healthy sport, which conveys values that are dear to us: audacity, respect and high standards. It also allows me to communicate externally and develop my reputation, while federating internally.”
“WHOEVER RUBS IT, DIGS IT”
Cap Ingelec is firmly behind the Saint-Jean-d’Illac volleyball club, where human beings are at the centre of concerns, with values of benevolence, understanding, listening and humility: all these values bring us together and that is why we are partners!
“Olympic Games 2024: Team Bordeaux”
Bordeaux has created the “Team Bordeaux”, a sponsorship system aiming to encourage private economic actors to support Bordeaux’s top sportsmen and women in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Some thirty companies, including Cap Ingelec, have already joined this Patrons’ Club, which remains open to other lovers of professional sport. The aim of this scheme is to provide a framework conducive to performance to enable athletes to aim for the elite.
