A high level of global responsibility
This turnkey operation concerns the renovation, on an occupied site, of all the equipment constituting the Electrical Technical Management (ETM) of the Société Générale towers in Paris-La Défense, that is to say the secure electrical supply of all the services of the buildings, classified as IGH (Immeuble Grande Hauteur). On this occasion, Cap Ingelec created a grouping with the company Eiffage Energie IdF. In figures: renovation of 6 delivery and transformation stations (6 automatons and 85 digital HV protection relays), 16 TGBT piloting automatons, 8 GE automatons, 2 GE power station automatons (IGH and parking), 3 supervision stations. Planned over 3 and a half years, this operation of nearly 7 M€ includes more than 40 phases of work.

What are the constraints of this operation?
This project to renovate the automation and supervision of the high and low voltage network in two towers is subject to the safety regulations for high-rise buildings. In addition, these towers house sensitive activities for the Group. Work is therefore subject to an in-depth impact analysis and prior authorization by the operations and IT teams. Work that requires occasional outages is carried out during restricted periods, at night or on weekends.
How was the general contractor chosen?
The project began in a conventional way by selecting a general contractor. This initial approach, which found its limits, was amended to a design and build model. Cap Ingelec was put out to tender for over a year. The work on the relatively advanced pre-project studies was long and fastidious. The objective was to ensure the reliability of the operation, from its implementation, on all technical, organizational and financial levels. The obligation not to disturb the life of the building and to guarantee the continuity of activity required the elaboration of operating modes to plan works of a high level of technicality. We rely on Cap Ingelec, our sole interlocutor, to carry out this project in the best possible conditions.
How does this collaboration translate?
We regularly work with Cap Ingelec for project management missions. This company, which has a very good reputation in matters of engineering, is carrying out the entire project here, with strong commitments to results. To date, the collaboration is positive. Work began in March 2014. Henri Capdepuy, Mission Manager and Philippe Gori, Project Manager, are listening to us. They take into account our constraints, make them their own and coordinate all the interventions by showing a proactivity demonstrating a real understanding of the issues of the operation. The reports are also of high quality. The level of skills of the teams is appreciable. All these parameters are essential to circumscribe the risks of a complex

A long-standing collaboration
For nearly ten years, Société Générale has regularly entrusted Cap Ingelec with missions for its expertise in electricity and climate engineering. The most notable was the upgrading of the Tigery site (91), a classic project management mission in 2008 for a total of 15 M€ of work.
