The laying of the foundation stone of the future Elisa Aerospace campus, this Thursday in Saint Jean d’Illac

Alain Rousset, President of the Region, symbolically laid the first stone of the Elisa Aerospace engineering school on Thursday 6 January.

The engineering school was initially due to move into its new premises at the start of the 2020 academic year, but town planning and environmental protection rules forced it to change sites before Covid took over and postponed the building work. In total, the project is two years behind schedule. The ELISA school will train engineers over 5 years and will eventually welcome 600 students. The first phase of the project has been underway since July 2021. It includes the construction of a teaching building and its Agora (reception area), as well as a 5,600 sqm student house. There will also be a multi-sports ground, green spaces and a car park. Delivery is scheduled for autumn 2022.

This turnkey project represents an order of €11M and is being monitored by the Bordeaux teams. We will provide you with regular updates on the progress of the work!
